WINNING HEARTS FOR CHRIST IN MALAWI

When F.E.B.A. Radio South Africa broke the news about the construction of a new FM radio station in the heart of ChiYawo-speaking Malawi, the response was overwhelming.

The new station is situated in the Ndengu region at the tip of lake Malawi. The aims of the station is to reach an estimated 80 000 Yawo people daily, in their own language. It has captured many hearts of F.E.B.A. Radio supporters across South Africa, many of whom had been in prayer for the Yawo people for many years. The new FM station which is ideally situated in the heart of Yawo-land,  is not the only F.E.B.A. Radio initiative to reach the Yawo, for Christ, by radio. F.E.B.A.’s powerful shortwave broadcasts have touched the lives of this society since 1996 in the ChiYawo language in large parts of Malawi, Mozambique and Tanzania, with great effect.

We see the Ndengu FM Project as a vital extension of our existing shortwave ministry to the very needy and largely unreached Yawo people…” says Frik Veldman, National Director of FEBA Radio South Africa, “… To have an FM station in the Ndengu area will bring a new focus and input to this crucial target audience”

In a recent letter from Malawi, Anton Meyer, Yawo Project Co-ordinator writes in response to the overwhelming reaction from supporters: “I bring special praise to our God for these men and women. This is a tremendous encouragement... may our  Lord richly bless you with His choice blessings as you serve Him. A wise man once said that there would be no spotlight if there was not someone who turned it on. Thanks for turning it on.”

F.E.B.A.’s Ndengu station which is scheduled to go on air in the latter part of 2009 requires a monthly operational budget of R9000.

F.E.B.A. Radio South Africa invites men and women concerned over the souls of the Yawo to invest in this kingdom work by contacting F.E.B.A. Radio for details on how to get involved in this exciting project.

God is going to do a tremendous thing in the hearts of the Yawo people at Ndengu. The evidence of His love for them is too powerful to ignore.

Yawoland will henceforth never be same again.

Soli Deo Gloria!

What some of our supporters have to say about the Ndengu FM Radio Project:

'It is with tremendous joy

that I read of the Ndengu

radio station in the heart of

Yawo land. Years ago I also

prayed for the Yawo and so it

is great news to learn about

this new station, it is really

a dream come true.

Herewith my donation in

support of the work’

'In your most recent

newsletter you mentioned

that a new transmitter is

being planned to proclaim

the Word. Enclosed please

find a cheque for this

project. I pray daily for

FEBA’s work and am delighted

to read how the Lord is

blessing and sustaining the broadcasts’.

we are convinced that your prayers can and will make a difference.

So, we invite you to pray as the Spirit leads you and

contribute to the work of F.E.B.A. in the world,

as we work together to bring Jesus Christ to Africa by radio.
