A Distinguished guest from India to grace our shores.

Suma Emmanuel visits South Africa, and you are invited!

Who is Suma Emmanuel?

Suma Emmanuel is an accomplished and respected leader who has been with FEBA since 1980, and worked in various capacities from programming to training.  Currently, she heads-up FEBA’s ministry in the northern parts of India. North India comprise of 3/4 of India's population with its more 1600 languages and dialects, and an harbours the most unreached people groups . North India is normally known as a 'graveyard for missions'.

Suma was born into a nominal Christian family but accepted Jesus as her personal Saviour when she was 14 years old and brought up in Brethren fellowship.  Her current place of worship is at a Methodist Church in Bangalore.

She holds a degree in Science and have added other skills in communication during her tenure in FEBA. Married for 31 years, God has blessed her with 2 wonderful boys. One is doing his Masters in Auckland and the other at the university in Bangalore.  Suma’s husband is also in the audio line.

Suma will be visiting South Africa on invitation of FEBA Radio South Africa as key speaker in a number of venues around the country. The theme or topic is something close to her heart:

“Empowering women in a hard to reach place”

The plight of women in the northern parts of India has long been a matter of grave concern. While in South Africa on a brief tour Suma Emmanuel shares more on how the radio ministry uplifts burdened Indian women in a society where they are often treated as mere commodities.
